Today's Agenda

1)  Conflict in Gaza:  The small 'statelet' of Gaza,--- packed  w/ 2 million  Palestinians and w/ unemployment running at 50%,--- is ruled by Hamas, aka 'the Islamic Resistance Movement', an Islamist political party that Israel and US call terrorists.  How can a terrorist group run a region of millions of Palestinians inside Israel?  Are the Israelis to blame for letting this situation occur--ie don't they still occupy Gaza? 

2)  Israel's Muslim landmark, the Al Aqsa Mosque:  What is this mosque?  Why is it so important to Muslims worldwide?  Why did Israeli police invade one of the most holy sites of Islam on their high holy day, Eid, a week ago?  
3) 

 Is Israel becoming a Democracy for Jews Only?:  There is a growing group of Israeli  'ethno-nationalists' who think there should be no two-state solution to the Palestine problem.  But if the Palestinians must remain inside Jewish Israel, will they be granted full citizenship, or live like prisoners in Gaza?  And if the 2 million Israeli Arabs  inside Israel remain, will they remain as second class citizens? 

4) Is Hamas a terrorist organization?  For years it has invoked calls for the elimination of Israel, and seems to have young men willing to wear suicide vest and attack Israelis.  Does that make it a terrorist group?  If so, how can they also be the ruling party in Gaza?
