Battleships along the Crimean coast, Ms. Samar Badawi freed, Private Military Contractors in Afghanistan?
Retired US Diplomat to 5 different nations David Hunter shares his knowledge, passion, interest, and experience.
Today's Agenda
1) The UK sent a destroyer-class battleship along the coastline of Crimea, and Russian ships fired warning shots: Why did the Brits do this? Were they asserting the right of passage on high seas? If so, why did the Russians fire warning shots?
2) On June 27th, Saudi Arabia freed from prison women's rights activist Ms. Samar Badawi: She was imprisoned by Crown Prince Moh. bin Salman for advocating for removal of 'male guardianship laws' over women, and for the right of women to drive cars. She was sentenced to 5 yrs prison but now after 3 yrs is being released to house arrest. What is going on?
3) Could a Private Military Contractor be the solution to Pulling Out of Afghanistan? By Sept 2021, all US troops are supposed to be out of Afghanistan. And this is causing great alarm. US intelligence fears that the Afghan Gov might not last six months w/out US air support and Special Ops trainers. Could a Private Military Contractor be the solution?
