1) Why Does Trump Want Greenland?: President Trump says US 'owning' Greenland is necessary for US national security. It is a sparsely populated large island off the east coast of Canada, with about two-thirds of it s land above the Arctic Circle. What is the military usefulness of the US owning this land versus just getting permission to locate anti-missile systems there? Are there other reasons? Europe strongly opposes Trump annexing land from another NATO member state.
2) Is Trump's New "Don-roe Doctrine" of Western Hemisphere Domination Dangerous?: Trump announced a new National Security Strategy document saying that Western Hemisphere would be controlled by USA. US military actions in Venezuela and threats to Cuba have followed. But doesn't this policy allow for other big states, like China and Russia, to have their own 'spheres of influence' in their own neighborhoods? Isn't that dangerous?
